Job summary

FastTrack Staffing is seeking a self-motivated machinist for our client's casting and machining team in Michigan. You will set up, run, and maintain machines, ensuring quality of cast parts before and after machining.

Responsibilities include reading operator sheets, running test cycles, maintaining records, and following safety procedures including LOTO and PPE use. The role requires physical stamina and adherence to 5S practices.

Qualifications

• Foundry experience preferred.
• Basic mechanical knowledge and ability to expand mechanical skills.
• Basic math, reading and writing skills required.

Responsibilities

• Read and understand operator instructions and dimensional requirements.
• Run machines, supervise test cycles, and make adjustments as needed.
• Maintain production quantities and quality on all products.
• Inspect, gauge, measure, and assemble as required.
• Keep work area clean and organized, following 5S practices.
