FastTrack Staffing is seeking a self-motivated machinist for our client's casting and machining team in Michigan. You will set up, run, and maintain machines, ensuring quality of cast parts before and after machining.

Responsibilities include reading operator sheets, running test cycles, maintaining records, and following safety procedures including LOTO and PPE use. The role requires physical stamina and adherence to 5S practices.

Formación

• Foundry experience preferred.
• Basic mechanical knowledge and ability to expand mechanical skills.
• Basic math, reading and writing skills required.

Responsabilidades

• Read and understand operator instructions and dimensional requirements.
• Run machines, supervise test cycles, and make adjustments as needed.
• Maintain production quantities and quality on all products.
• Inspect, gauge, measure, and assemble as required.
• Keep work area clean and organized, following 5S practices.

Job Responsibilities

We are looking for a self-motivated individual, with an eye for detail to join our clients team in the machining department. As part of the team, you will set up, run and maintain the assigned machine while monitoring quality of casted parts both before and after machining.

Job Duties

• Read and understand the operator instruction sheet including visual and dimensional requirements
• Run various machines, including running test cycles, supervising the machine and making adjustments as needed.
• Maintain production quantities and customer required quality on all products
• Inspect, gage, and measure and assemble products being processed as required
• Maintain a clean and organized work area including following 5s practices
• Maintain records of production, quality checks, and any other required paperwork
• Practice good housekeeping including following 5S requirements
• Obey and practice all safety procedures and properly use LOTO and wear required PPE
• Any other duties that management may deem necessary

Skills and Qualifications

• Foundry experience is preferred
• Basic mechanical knowledge with the ability to expand mechanical skills are critical
• Knowledge of basic math, reading and writing
• Able to walk, lift, stand, and bend for 8+Hours.
• Able to frequently lift of move up to 50lbs
