Job summary

Dauch is seeking a Set Up & Operate Machines - Forge operator at our Detroit area facility. The role involves setting up and running forge processes, inspecting parts for quality, and maintaining machine readiness throughout shifts.

Ideal candidates will be familiar with lean tools, able to perform basic problem-solving, and capable of working in a fast-paced environment while adhering to safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience operating Genie Boom or similar equipment is preferred.
• Knowledge of lean tools and problem-solving approaches is expected.

Responsibilities

• Follow health, safety and environmental practices and preventative measures.
• Operate machines, presses, and equipment used to produce powdered metal products.
• Visually inspect parts for quality and dimensional conformance.
• Set up and adjust equipment for processing parts as required.
• Perform autonomous maintenance and keep work areas neat and orderly.
