Job summary

Brunswick’s Mercury Marine Foundry Engineering Co-op in Fond du Lac, WI offers hands-on exposure to aluminum high pressure die casting and lost foam foundry processes. Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, Materials/Metallurgical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum second semester sophomore status with 48 completed credits.
• Availability to work full-time (40+ hours) Jan–Aug 2027 or May–Dec 2027.
• Able to participate in a formal co-op program through your university.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• MS Office proficiency (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 35 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Support additive manufacturing initiatives, including 3D printing of prototypes, fixtures, and engineering components.
• Assist with prototype casting pours and foundry process development activities.
• Create and modify 3D models, engineering drawings, and manufacturing documentation using CAD software.
• Support casting simulation and engineering analysis to improve product quality and manufacturing efficiency.
• Collect, analyze, and interpret casting quality and production data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
• Assist with the design, maintenance, and modification of die cast, trim, and foam tooling.
• Develop, update, and maintain SOPs, work instructions, and process documentation.
• Participate in continuous improvement activities focused on safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
