Job summary

MISUMI Americas, a division of MISUMI Group, is launching a first physical footprint in Austin, Texas to lead a frontier-technology manufacturing platform. The Senior VP will stand up the facility, build a 200+ person team, and align with an international parent.

This executive will own P&L, govern compliance, and scale from pilot to multi-customer production, with travel and a remote-eligible work arrangement designed for hands-on facility leadership.

Qualifications

• 15+ years in manufacturing operations leadership.
• Proven track record standing up new manufacturing facilities from scratch.
• Fluency in precision manufacturing: CNC, FATP, NPI, DFM.
• Experience serving fast-iterating hardware customers (robotics, aerospace, defense) preferred.
• Familiarity with export-control frameworks (ITAR, CMMC) a strong plus.
• Willingness to report to an international parent company.
• Builder's mindset with comfort in ambiguity in a founding role.

Responsibilities

• Lead commissioning of the initial Austin facility and the campus rollout.
• Own the founding customer relationship and its production ramp.
• Build precision machining, FATP, and quality systems to frontier-technology standards.
• Execute multi-year staffing ramp to ~200 staff.
• Stand up governance, security, and export-control compliance.
• Own the new organization's operating P&L and report to Board and MISUMI leadership.
• Recruit leadership from Austin's robotics/advanced manufacturing corridor.
