Job summary

Augex is hiring a Founding Software Engineer to own the platform architecture and backend as we scale our AI marketplace. You will work directly with the founders to shape the product, scale systems, and deliver production-ready features for real customers.

Remote role with preferred overlap to U.S. business hours; Fluent Mandarin required, strong English communication, and startup experience valued as we move fast.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of full-stack or backend software engineering experience.
• Strong experience with TypeScript, Node.js, React/Next.js, Python, or similar technologies.
• Experience building and supporting production systems.
• Knowledge of cloud infrastructure, databases, APIs, and CI/CD.
• Experience using AI coding tools and modern LLM technologies is a plus.
• Startup or early-stage company experience preferred.
• Fluent Mandarin Chinese (spoken and written) is required.
• Strong English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Own architecture and backend development for the platform.
• Scale the AI marketplace and ensure production reliability.
• Collaborate directly with founders on technical decisions and direction.
