Job summary

Gava is building a relationship-centric commerce platform and seeks talented engineers to design and implement core backend services, APIs, and AI-driven workflows. You will work with the founding team to define technical architecture and deliver features rapidly in a remote, early-stage environment.

The role requires a strong CS foundation and production-grade software experience; familiarity with AI/ML and LLMs is a plus, as is ownership and clear communication in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS or related field or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience building production-grade software including back-end services, APIs, microservices and database integrations.
• Experience with AI/ML, LLMs, or agentic workflows is a plus.

Job description

Design and build the core systems for Gava’s relationship-centric commerce platform, including back-end services, APIs, AI integrations, and agentic workflows. Collaborate with the founding team to shape technical architecture, deliver features quickly, and maintain scalable, secure, and reliable infrastructure.

Requirements:

Candidates should have strong computer science fundamentals and experience building production-grade software, including back-end services, APIs, microservices, and database integrations. Experience with AI/ML, LLMs, or agentic workflows is beneficial, along with the ability to work independently, communicate clearly, and take ownership in an early-stage remote environment; a bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience, is expected.
