Job summary

Gava is building a relationship-centric commerce platform and seeks talented engineers to design and implement core backend services, APIs, and AI-driven workflows. You will work with the founding team to define technical architecture and deliver features rapidly in a remote, early-stage environment.

The role requires a strong CS foundation and production-grade software experience; familiarity with AI/ML and LLMs is a plus, as is ownership and clear communication in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS or related field or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience building production-grade software including back-end services, APIs, microservices and database integrations.
• Experience with AI/ML, LLMs, or agentic workflows is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design and build core backend services and APIs for the platform.
• Develop and maintain microservices and integrate databases.
• Collaborate with the founding team to shape architecture and deliver features quickly.
