Mission.dev is hiring a senior security engineer to own the organization’s security posture across the entire technical stack. You will work embedded with the engineering team and report to a co-founder, building foundational security programs from scratch and guiding the security function as the company scales.

The role emphasizes security as the core value proposition, with high autonomy to implement scalable controls, threat modeling, and incident response across a remote-first organization

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in security engineering with a software foundation.
• Go production experience and shipping code.
• Strong track record in application/product security including code reviews and remediation.

Responsabilités

• Embed security within engineering workflows from design to deployment.
• Architect and build foundational security infrastructure (secrets, PKI, audit logging).
• Conduct threat modeling and secure design reviews for rapid product development.
• Lead SOC 2 and ISO 27001 compliance initiatives with engineering controls.
• Develop incident response processes and detection-as-code capabilities.
• Oversee product security, corporate security, and initial security team growth.
