Job summary

Greenlight Robotics is hiring its first core team of engineers to deliver the initial production version of our system to early transit customers. As a Robotics Perception Engineer, you will help build the perception stack, write, review, and deploy software powering data collection, object detection, sensor fusion, localization, and model improvement for our field-deployed system.

You will work closely with the co-founders and our Lead Robotics Software Engineer to own major components,

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience building vehicle perception models with sensor-fused 2D and 3D lidar data.
• Ability to create, maintain, and optimize complex robotic software within an integrated HW/SW product.
• Experience using AI-assisted coding and LLMs to accelerate development.

Responsibilities

• Build, evaluate, and improve AI/ML/RL models for perception, sensor fusion, and object detection.
• Develop and maintain major software stack components to enable core transit features.
• Create data collection pipelines to drive rapid, systematic iteration.
• Identify performance bottlenecks and help prioritize features and improvements.
