Job summary

Toast is building its Retail Solutions Engineering team to scale our POS and retail platform. As a Retail Solutions Engineer, you will join the founding team to blend technology with customer success, shaping a new business line from the ground up and partnering with Sales and Product Management to ensure scalable, customer-forward solutions.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year Toast experience.
• A working POS knowledge.
• Ability to handle complex customer communications fluently while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.
• Ability to work closely with Product Management.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Ability to manage multiple customer implementations simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong problem solving/troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist sales teams in presenting the Toast product and platform to prospects.
• Become an expert in the product with complete knowledge of the technologies and the application software.
• Learn to identify the prospect’s business challenges and position Toast or partner ecosystem as a solution.
• Communicate gaps in product/market fit to Product Management and Product Marketing.
• Work closely with Sales Enablement to provide training and product expertise.
• Attend trade shows and events as a Toast brand ambassador.
• Collaborate with Product Management, Sales Enablement, and Marketing teams.
• Thrives in an entrepreneurial environment.
