Job summary

Aionia, a confidential AI-powered radiology platform in San Francisco, is seeking its founding recruiter to own end‑to‑end hiring across engineering, sales, and operations. You will partner directly with the founder/CEO and hiring managers to shape roles, create descriptions, and build pipelines from scratch using LinkedIn and referrals.

You will establish recruiting processes, deliver a great candidate experience, and help scale the team from ~30 employees to the next phase, including

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of full-cycle recruiting experience in tech/startups.
• Recruited at early‑stage startups (sub‑50 employees).
• Experience hiring non‑technical roles (sales, ops).
• Experience building recruiting processes and systems from scratch.
• Operates independently and makes decisions with limited guidance.
• Warm, high‑energy communicator who sells candidates on the company.
• Quick learner who can deeply understand technical business context.
• Excited to be first recruiter and own the talent function.
• Full‑cycle recruiting for engineering roles.
• Strong outbound sourcing skills (LinkedIn, creative channels).
• Based in San Francisco; on‑site 5 days/week required.

Responsibilities

• Own full-cycle recruiting across engineering, sales, and operations — as the company's first dedicated recruiter.
• Partner with founder/CEO and hiring managers to define roles, shape job descriptions, and align on what great candidates look like.
• Build top-of-funnel pipelines from scratch using LinkedIn, referrals, and creative sourcing channels.
• Establish foundational recruiting systems and interview processes to replace ad hoc approach.
• Deliver an excellent candidate experience at every touchpoint as the first impression of the company.
• Run first-round screens and evaluate candidates for culture add and early-stage fit.
• Track recruiting metrics and continuously improve processes.
• Represent the company's mission and culture to the talent market.
