Job summary

Mondrio is seeking an experienced software engineer to help design and ship AI-driven pricing software. You will own modules end-to-end, from customer scoping and API design to React UI and server-side logic powered by an agentic framework.

You’ll work directly with leadership, mentor peers, and shape product strategy. In our 100% in-person SF office, you’ll build across FastAPI, Python, MongoDB, and TypeScript, ensuring money handling remains precise, and every feature is drivable by an LLM

Qualifications

• 8+ years of engineering experience
• Shipped and owned entire product areas at a startup
• Strong backend depth with FastAPI, Python, MongoDB
• Credible frontend with React and TypeScript; can ship a clean UI
• Ability to take ambiguous customer problems to a shipped feature without a PM
• Interest in monetization and B2B SaaS pricing
• Experience using AI coding tools and agentic architectures
• High standards for core logic and financial fidelity

Responsibilities

• Define and evolve architecture for agentic AI systems across product surfaces
• Own design and delivery of the full product suite: scope, versioned APIs, MCP endpoints, React UI
• Lead architectural discussions and reviews for robustness and security
• Develop backend-heavy areas (pricing simulation, AI persona modeling, survey module)
• Migrate pricing logic to server-side; keep frontend as a thin layer
• Ensure features are drivable by an LLM agent via MCP server
• Expand pricing ontology (SKU, Proposition, Persona, Pricing; Customer, Contract, Quote)
• Institute testing, observability, deployment, and performance standards for AI features
• Maintain high financial fidelity in money handling
