Job summary

Ama is seeking a Founding Product Engineer to own the product and the agent harness behind every report. You will work directly with the Founder, our Agentic Compliance Engineers, and clients, and you’ll build the engineering team as we scale.

You will make AI output trustworthy, orchestrate scalable workflows, and ingest PDFs, OCR, and tables. This role combines product leadership with hands-on full-stack development in Python/FastAPI and Postgres.

Qualifications

• Owns product end-to-end and ships with coding agents.
• Reviews and merges production-grade code for a team.
• Builds and maintains AI-driven verification and reporting workflows.
• Balances cost, UX, and deliverability with engineering leadership.

Responsibilities

• Make AI output trustworthy: grounding, citations, evals, regression tests.
• Own the product: design, feedback loops, testing, and releases.
• Scale throughput: orchestration, parallelism, cost per report.
• Ingest anything: PDF parsing, OCR, tables, handwritten records.
• Full-stack: Python/FastAPI, Postgres/Alembic, background workers, frontend.
• Orchestrate: hire and lead an engineering team as we scale.
