Job summary

Power Public Schools is launching in Mableton, GA, seeking a Founding School Principal to design instructional systems, hire and develop teachers, and establish the school culture from day one. You will lead with an equity-driven, literacy-first approach and build MTSS, PBIS, EL, and special education structures in a startup environment.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Educational Leadership, School Administration, Curriculum and Instruction, or related field.
• Georgia Educational Leadership Certificate (Tier I or II), or eligibility to obtain within 90 days of hire.
• Minimum 5 years of successful instructional leadership (Principal, AP, or Academic Director) in a K-12 setting.
• Direct experience leading special education (IEP) and Section 504 compliance processes.
• Proficiency with data dashboards, learning management systems (PowerSchool, Google Classroom), and assessment platforms (NWEA, DIBELS, or similar).

Responsibilities

• Design the Instructional Vision and Literacy Foundation.
• Architect the School Literacy Framework across grades; define reading and writing instruction.
• Define Personalized Learning and Differentiation Protocols using data to tailor instruction.
• Build the Professional Learning Architecture and coaching cycles.
• Recruit Founding Teachers and conduct interviews/observations.
• Chart the AI Learning Journey including rollout and diagnostics usage.
