Job summary

BrightMeds invites a founding Pharmacist-in-Charge and Head of Pharmacy Operations to build a premier sterile compounding pharmacy from the ground up in Missouri. You will shape regulatory readiness, quality systems, and nationwide expansion.

You will design operations, recruit and mentor the team, and collaborate with founders to implement scalable processes while maintaining patient safety and high-quality care.

Qualifications

• PharmD, BSPharm, or equivalent degree from an accredited school or college of pharmacy.
• Active, unrestricted Missouri pharmacist license, or ability to obtain one before beginning employment.
• Eligibility to serve as Pharmacist-in-Charge in Missouri.
• Previous PIC or comparable accountable pharmacy-leadership experience.
• Extensive sterile compounding experience.
• Strong working knowledge of USP <797> and applicable USP <800> requirements.
• Experience preparing for pharmacy inspections or regulatory audits.
• Experience developing or operating quality systems.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to recruit, lead, and develop high-performing teams.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Pharmacist-in-Charge in accordance with Missouri requirements.
• Lead sterile compounding operations in accordance with USP <797> and USP <800>.
• Design safe, efficient, and scalable pharmacy workflows.
• Recruit, hire, mentor, and develop pharmacy personnel.
• Build the quality management system and SOP infrastructure.
• Develop technology and operating systems with BrightMeds team.
• Lead preparation for inspections, audits, and regulatory reviews.
