Job summary

BrightMeds seeks a founding Pharmacist-in-Charge and Head of Pharmacy Operations to design, launch, and scale a next‑generation sterile compounding pharmacy. You will lead regulatory, quality, and operational efforts to build systems, recruit a team, and establish patient‑safety‑driven practices.

You will work closely with founders, consultants, and technology teams to create scalable processes, SOPs, and licensing strategies across states, ensuring readiness for inspections and nationwide

Qualifications

• Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or equivalent.
• Active, unrestricted Missouri pharmacist license.
• Eligibility to serve as Pharmacist-in-Charge in Missouri.
• Previous PIC or comparable accountable leadership experience.
• Extensive sterile compounding experience.
• Strong knowledge of USP <797> and USP <800> requirements.
• Experience preparing for pharmacy inspections or regulatory audits.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Proven ability to recruit, lead, and develop high‑performing teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, launch, and scale of the pharmacy as clinical, regulatory, quality, and operational head.
• Support site evaluation, licensing, and readiness for inspections.
• Recruit, hire, mentor, and develop pharmacists, technicians, and staff.
• Establish a culture of patient safety, accountability, integrity, speed, and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with founders, consultants, technology team, and leadership across the company.
• Own pharmacy outcomes with minimal day‑to‑day management by others.
• Oversee sterile compounding operations and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Develop SOPs and a scalable Quality Management System.
• Plan and execute national regulatory expansion and multi‑state licensing.
