Job summary

Aptos is seeking a Software Engineer, Payments Product Lead to shape the Payments API and lead a new financial services unit. You will own the API, design the partner integration model, and drive the trust and settlement layers.

This role requires deep experience in production-scale payment systems and external technical leadership. You will mentor early engineers, define the build-vs-buy posture, and collaborate with trading to align liquidity and settlement.

Qualifications

• 8+ years building payment infrastructure at production scale (PSP or orchestrator-class systems).
• Experience with cross-border rails, on/off-ramps, virtual accounts, reconciliation.
• Hands-on chain-native settlement with stablecoins and wallet infrastructure; Move or Rust a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own the Aptos Payment API: design, ship, and operate the API and orchestration layers.
• Lead partner-facing engineering: requirements intake, integration leadership, and diligence with banks, PSPs, and issuers.
• Build and operate trust infrastructure: KYC/KYB integration and settlement policy; testnet sandbox for onboarding.
