Job summary

Florida State University College of Medicine, in partnership with Sarasota Memorial Health Care System, seeks a visionary leader to serve as the Founding Program Director for the OB/GYN Residency Program. This 12‑month salaried faculty role balances administrative leadership with clinical involvement in a high‑volume hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Medical Degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
• Board certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG or AOBOG).
• Eligible for or holding an unrestricted Florida medical license.
• Minimum of five years of clinical OB/GYN experience after residency.
• Minimum of three years of educational/administrative experience in an ACGME‑accredited OB/GYN residency program.
• Proven leadership in medical education pedagogy and residency management platforms (New Innovations, Thalamus, ERAS).

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for the OB/GYN residency program across clinical and educational domains.
• Ensure compliance with ACGME requirements and maintenance of ADS data.
• Oversee CCC evaluations, resident tracking, and progression milestones.
• Foster an environment of scholarly activity, QI projects, and resident well‑being.
