Job summary

FSU College of Medicine Sarasota Memorial Health Care System seeks a visionary academic leader to serve as the Founding Program Director for the OB/GYN Residency Program. This role combines administrative leadership with clinical practice in a high-volume Florida system.

Responsibilities include establishing a robust curriculum, ensuring ACGME compliance, supervising faculty, and advancing resident education, well-being, and scholarly activity across diverse clinical sites.

Qualifications

• Medical Degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
• Board certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG or AOBOG).
• Eligible for or holding an unrestricted Florida medical license.
• Minimum five (5) years of OB/GYN clinical experience after residency.
• Minimum of three (3) years of educational/administrative experience in an ACGME OB/GYN residency program.
• Leadership experience in an ACGME residency program preferred.
• Aptitude in medical education pedagogy and familiarity with GME platforms.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the operation of the residency program across all clinical environments.
• Administer an educational environment conducive to teaching residents across six ACGME core competencies.
• Ensure timely updates of ADS and compliance with program policies.
• Lead curriculum design and clinical oversight for OB/GYN education and subspecialties.
• Oversee CCC evaluations and track resident volumes and milestones.
• Foster quality improvement, research, and resident well‑being initiatives.
