Job summary

Auxo Talent partners with an early-stage physical AI startup in Pittsburgh to hire its first engineers. As a founding engineer, you will shape the ML stack and engineering culture, building systems that collect, organize and learn from robot data, while collaborating closely with the founders on what gets built.

You will own critical decisions, implement ML infrastructure, and work with customers to understand robot needs in a fast-paced startup setting.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in ML engineering.
• Proficiency in Python and PyTorch.
• Experience building ML infrastructure or large data pipelines.
• Experience with robotics or sensor data (camera, LiDAR or similar).
• You enjoy ownership and building from a blank page.

Responsibilities

• Build the ML infrastructure for training and testing models on robot data.
• Train and evaluate models for perception and decision-making.
• Create pipelines that turn raw sensor data into training data.
• Make early decisions on tools, architecture and process.
• Talk with customers to understand what their robots need.
