Founding IT Support Engineer - Automations & IAM (SF)

Job summary

Rox is building the AI-native revenue operating system for modern go-to-market teams. We seek a founding-level IT Support Engineer to own and optimize the IT landscape in our San Francisco office, from identity to automation, while scaling with the company.

You'll split time between the support queue, automating tasks, and resolving complex IT issues for a fast-growing team, with a focus on security, system hygiene, and end-to-end process ownership.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of IT systems engineering in a fast-growing company.
• Hands-on admin experience with Okta or a comparable Secure ID/SSO platform.
• Working knowledge of SSO, SAML, OIDC, and SCIM.
• Experience managing a SaaS/collaboration stack such as Google Workspace, Slack, Notion, and Linear or similar.
• Experience with Mac endpoint management (JumpCloud, Jamf, or similar MDM).
• Scripting ability in Python and Bash, with demonstrable automation shipped.
• Strong knowledge of systems and network primitives across Unix/macOS/Windows.
• Strong troubleshooting instincts for identity, systems, networking, and SaaS integrations.
• Clear written and oral communication.
• Willingness to work on-site in San Francisco 5 days a week.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary IT support engineer for the San Francisco office.
• Administer and evolve our core Enterprise identity stack: Okta, Google.
• Own the employee identity and application lifecycle.
• Administer endpoint management and engineer solutions for compliance enforcement.
• Automate recurring IT engineering work.
• Support security and compliance efforts for SOC 2 and ISO 27001.
• Identify opportunities to streamline IT operations and engineer tooling to scale.
