Job summary

Tamarind Bio in San Francisco is seeking a Founding Sales Development Representative to join as our first GTM hire. You will own pipeline creation, engage with technical buyers, and help shape how Tamarind communicates value to pharma, biotech, and research institutions.

You'll build outbound programs, partner with founders and engineering, and support events as we scale from zero to multi-million ARR. This role requires startup hustle, strong communication, and willingness to travel onsite in

Qualifications

• Experience in a sales or SDR role, ideally at a startup or selling technical products.
• Comfort engaging with technical audiences (scientists, engineers, researchers).
• High agency - ability to operate in ambiguity and build from zero.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to work onsite in San Francisco and travel as needed.
• Curiosity and interest in AI, drug discovery, or life sciences.

Responsibilities

• Build pipeline and outbound campaigns to enterprise customers.
• Engage with scientists, ML researchers, and pharma stakeholders to translate value.
• Qualify and progress leads through complex enterprise cycles.
• Partner with founders and engineering to incorporate feedback.
• Support field efforts at conferences and events.
• Help define early GTM messaging and targeting.
