Job summary

Underdog is seeking a Founding Full-Stack Engineer to join our NYC hybrid team, building a security-first platform for enterprise customers. You’ll shape the customer portal, internal tools, and backend services, collaborating with infrastructure and security to deliver resilient workflows.

You’ll own frontend and backend layers using React, Next.js, TypeScript, Node.js, and PostgreSQL, drive architectural decisions, ship end-to-end features, and embed security and usability into our tools from

Qualifications

3+ years as a full-stack engineer shipping production systems.
Frontend mastery: React, Next.js, TypeScript.
Core understanding: Web architecture, auth (OAuth/SAML), CI/CD, and testing.
Startup mindset: Thrives in ambiguity, owns outcomes, and iterates rapidly.

Responsibilities

Build responsive web apps (React, Next.js, TypeScript) for developers and enterprise users.
Design & optimize APIs and backend services (Node.js, PostgreSQL).
Expose infrastructure pipelines (build orchestration, artifact distribution) via UI/APIs.
Ship end-to-end features across the stack, from dashboards to access controls.
Embed security and usability into customer tools and internal platforms.
Co-define architecture and drive technical decisions in early-stage development.
