Match Group is building an AI‑driven incubation team in Los Angeles, seeking a founding Full Stack Engineer to own the technical direction. You’ll ship zero‑to‑one AI features, define architecture, and work directly with product and leadership to push prototypes to production.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software engineering experience, including leadership at staff/principal level or equivalent.
• Track record shipping consumer products in fast-moving, early-stage, or startup contexts.
• Deep full-stack capability across product surfaces, backend, data, infra, and production ops.
• Experience with modern AI development workflows and AI-powered products used by real users.
• High judgment on reliability, privacy, security, observability, maintainability, and scale.
• Clear communication skills and ability to partner with product, design, research, engineering, and leadership.
• Strong ownership mindset and ability to operate without a large team or fixed roadmap.
• High judgment on consumer trust, identity, privacy, and emotionally personal user experiences.

Responsibilities

• Build end-to-end product experiences spanning frontend, backend, and infrastructure.
• Design AI-powered systems to understand user intent and personalize recommendations.
• Partner with product, design, and research to translate insights into prototypes and production features.
• Use frontier AI tools and modern workflows while prioritizing reliability and privacy.
• Instrument product analytics, dashboards, and experiments to measure engagement and product-market fit.
• Improve system reliability, observability, and performance across services and workflows.
• Define early architecture and technical roadmap as a strategic technical partner to leadership.
