As one of the earliest engineering hires, you’ll be joining a highly ambitious and mission-driven founding team.

This role offers the rare opportunity to shape product and technical direction at a company poised for rapid growth in the AI space.

What You Will Do

• Collaborate closely with the co-founder and CTO to architect and build the company’s core platform from the ground up

• Design and develop scalable backend services and APIs using Python (FastAPI)

• Create responsive, elegant front-end interfaces using React and Vite

• Build complex integrations with enterprise communication platforms such as Slack and Microsoft Teams

• Develop and iterate on a high-performance workflow engine for scheduling and event-based triggers

• Set foundational engineering best practices and help establish a high-performing engineering culture

Ideal Candidate Background

• 8–10 years of experience in full stack software engineering

• At least 2+ years of experience in high-growth startup environments

• Expertise in Python and modern web frameworks (FastAPI preferred)

• Advanced proficiency with React and frontend development best practices

• Proven experience integrating with third-party APIs and enterprise platforms

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)

• Track record of building scalable and distributed systems

• Strong communication and collaboration skills with a bias toward action

Preferred

• Experience with technologies like SQLModel, Celery, PostgreSQL (pgvector), Redis, LangGraph, Langfuse, and Render (PaaS)

• Prior startup experience as an early engineering team member

• Demonstrated use of modern developer tools and AI-assisted workflows (e.g. Cursor)

• Based in California or New York
