Job summary

Gridsight is seeking a Founding Forward Deployed Engineer to build the AI-native tooling that power engineers use in real customer work. You will work directly with the founders, embed with power engineers and the U.S. GTM team, and shape how problems are translated into practical software solutions.

You will own the field-product iteration, prototype and integrate software, and drive rollout and adoption across the U.S. team.

Qualifications

• Minimum fluency in Python and SQL, with API experience.
• Experience translating field problems into tooling requirements.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for enterprise contexts.

Responsibilities

• Embed with power engineers and GTM team to map workflows and constraints.
• Be the first serious user of new FDE tooling on live work; test and validate.
• Turn evidence into clear requirements, priorities and acceptance criteria.
• Prototype, integrate, and ship tooling; debug workflows.
• Roll out tooling across the U.S. team and drive adoption.
• Define standards for AI-assisted work and establish operating discipline.
• Turn recurring field needs into reusable workflows and playbooks.
• Help leadership define engagement criteria and measures of success.
