Job summary

Sylvan Labs in New York City is seeking a hands-on technologist to own customer data from access to deployed workflows. You’ll define the context layer for agents, build data pipelines, and refine the harness as you learn what breaks, delivering measurable customer outcomes.

You'll map chaotic data warehouses into clean, business-ready concepts, stand up ontology, and create robust signals and workflows. This role is in-office in NYC with high autonomy and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in a technical, customer-facing role.
• Deep data warehouse fluency with SQL and dbt.
• Ability to map business concepts to data definitions.
• Applied data science literacy: distributions, validation.
• Strong bias for delivering interpretable outputs.

Responsibilities

• Understand customer business objectives and map to goals.
• Onboard new customers end to end.
• Stand up ontology and verify mappings with data teams.
• Build signals and workflows and agent harness.
• Define success metrics and prove value delivered.
• Improve deployment speed with tooling and reusable mappings.
