Job summary

HorizonAI Talent seeks a Forward Deployed Engineer to join a New York-based client building autonomous data agents. You’ll configure the platform, design blueprints, and wire it into existing systems while debugging live with Docker, AWS, Snowflake, and Python.

You’ll translate learnings back to engineers building the product. Ideal candidates have 5+ years in data roles, ownership of dbt, and hands-on production experience with agent-based systems and LLMs.

Qualifications

• New York, hybrid, onsite with clients when it counts.
• No sponsorship or visa transfer; you must be authorized.
• 5+ years technical and client-facing data experience (FDE, Solutions Engineer, or consulting delivery).
• You've owned dbt and shipped models yourself, not just used them.
• Experience with LLM or agent-based systems in production.
• Daily work with Python at configuration level, plus Docker, CI/CD and orchestration.
