Celerity is seeking an Engineering Lead to build and run the BIS engineering capability. This senior role blends hands-on delivery with people management, hiring and retaining Junior Developers, and shaping engineering standards across the practice.

The role demands strong operational leadership and deep industry knowledge to drive results in complex client environments. Remote work is eligible with opportunities to collaborate nationwide.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, IT, or related field; equivalent experience accepted.
• Minimum 10 years of software engineering with 3+ years in lead/ownership roles.
• Consulting or client-facing experience with commercial accountability.
• Hands-on with at least two listed tech areas (integration, cloud, APIs, microservices).

Responsibilities

• Lead the BIS engineering delivery across active client engagements, ensuring quality and alignment.
• Be the senior technical authority for engineering standards, tooling, and methodology.
• Contribute hands-on to client work during early delivery ramp-up.
• Translate architecture designs into engineering execution plans and roadmaps.
• Own client-facing technical documentation, designs, and deployment guides.
• Mentor Junior Developers and build a scalable engineering capability.
