Job summary

Unconventional AI is seeking the first hire as a founding engineer for our Agentic Applications pod. You will architect and build bespoke internal enterprise productivity tools using Agentic AI, accelerating operations across recruiting, knowledge bases, and semantic search.

You will define the technical strategy, drive build vs. buy decisions, and establish the AI-native development workflow. This is a high-impact, autonomous role with substantial ownership and influence on the company’s future.

Qualifications

• Education: BS in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience: 5+ years of full-stack software engineering across frontend and backend.
• Languages: Proficiency in Python and/or modern JavaScript ecosystems.
• Agentic AI: Hands-on experience building agentic apps, including LLM orchestration.
• Databases: SQL and Vector DBs fundamentals.
• DevOps: CI/CD and end-to-end deployment ownership.
• Workflow: AI-native development with AI coding assistants.
• Portfolio: Demoable personal or past projects in full-stack/AI builds.

Responsibilities

• Architect and develop bespoke applications from the ground up using Agentic AI.
• Lead technical strategy and make build vs. buy decisions.
• Own deployment and operations of internal productivity tools.
• Accelerate business operations: intelligent talent recruiting, knowledge bases, semantic search.
