Job summary

Centerpoint Medical Center is seeking a qualified individual to lead the establishment of a new ACGME-accredited Emergency Medicine residency program in Kansas City. The ideal candidate will be board-certified in emergency medicine and have significant experience in academic leadership positions.

This position offers substantial administrative time and complete control over program design and training culture. Candidates will enjoy a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, 401(k), and malpractice coverage.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years’ experience as physician core faculty or department chair in an ACGME-accredited Emergency Medicine residency program.
• Ability to establish a new residency program with clear educational priorities.
• Experience in GME compliance and oversight.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and culture of a new Emergency Medicine residency program.
• Oversee local GME programs and compliance as Assistant Designated Institutional Official.
• Sustain clinical credibility while managing leadership responsibilities.
