Job summary

The National Commercialization and Translation Institute (NCTI) at UCF seeks an accomplished industry practitioner and educator to serve as Founding Education Director. This 0.75 FTE role shapes nationwide commercialization education for NSF SBIR/STTR-funded cohorts and helps founders move breakthroughs from lab to market.

The Education Director will design engaging curricula, recruit instructors, lead virtual cohort sessions, manage a learning platform, and collaborate with partners to measure

Qualifications

• Experience launching or guiding startup commercialization efforts.
• Experience designing practitioner-led education for founders and leaders.
• Ability to translate complex concepts into engaging workshops and modules.

Responsibilities

• Design and build the EDUCATE curriculum for deep-technology commercialization.
• Deliver cohort education through live virtual sessions and workshops.
• Recruit and coordinate practitioner instructors and experts.
• Lead the ORIENT portfolio: video/webinar series and national reach metrics.
• Administer pre/post learning assessments and support evaluator documentation.
• Stand up and manage the virtual delivery platform and content library.
• Document the education model for the pilot’s transferable playbook.
• All other duties as assigned.
