Job summary

The University of Central Florida's National Commercialization and Translation Institute (NCTI) seeks an Education Director to shape education for a national cohort of NSF SBIR/STTR companies, leveraging entrepreneurial experience to mentor founders.

Lead curriculum design, recruit instructors, manage video series, assess learning outcomes, and coordinate virtual delivery. This 30-hour/week role offers a starting salary of $90,000 and requires Orlando-based work with occasional travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with 8+ years of relevant experience, or equivalent.
• Experience designing and delivering practitioner-led education and executive learning for founders and company leaders.
• Experience launching or supporting startup commercialization or growth initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver the EDUCATE curriculum for deep-technology commercialization.
• Deliver cohort education: live virtual sessions, workshops, and peer roundtables.
• Recruit, onboard, and coordinate instructors and experts.
• Lead the ORIENT portfolio: national video/webinar series and distribution.
• Administer pre/post learning assessments and support evaluator documentation.
• Stand up and manage the virtual delivery platform and curriculum library.
