Job summary

Hubble Network seeks a founding data hire to build our data platform from the warehouse layer up, decide on architecture, govern schemas, and own end-to-end transformations to mart. You will coordinate with the Infrastructure team on pipelines using Fivetran, Redshift, and Metabase.

You will own downstream models, metrics, quality gates, and performance. You will work as an embedded consultant to Finance, Product, and Customer Success, presenting a strong data story and promoting data

Qualifications

• 7+ years building production data systems with 2+ years in senior or staff architecture.
• Deep SQL and dimensional modeling: star schemas, grains.
• dbt (or similar) in production: model organization, macros, incremental strategies, tests as contracts.
• Cloud data warehouse depth, ideally Redshift: distribution and sort keys, vacuum and analyze behavior.
• Python or Scala for the specialized pipelines: connectors, backfills, reconciliation jobs.
• Event and product analytics instrumentation: tracking plan and funnel tables.

Responsibilities

• Own the transformation layer end-to-end: defined models across Staging, Warehouse, and Mart; star-schema design and data contracts.
• Build the data layer for internal tools: mart tables and API performance; maintain p95 / p90 metrics.
• Make freshness a commitment with real-time data using Apache Iceberg and monitoring.
• Instrument funnels: design event collection across product surfaces for a unified 360 view.
