Job summary

Reducto is hiring a Founding Data Engineer in San Francisco to build our data infrastructure from the ground up. You’ll own the entire data stack, from systems data residence to pipelines that move it, and set the direction for how the stack evolves.

You’ll turn that foundation into a trusted source of truth for usage, unit economics, and growth metrics, defining how data supports the business as we scale.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in data engineering with strong SQL, Python, and dbt.
• Experience building production data pipelines end-to-end.
• Experience with a cloud data warehouse such as Snowflake.
• Ability to design scalable data foundations for growth.

Responsibilities

• Own core data systems (Snowflake, Postgres, Clickhouse, data lakes) and shape stack evolution.
• Build and own pipelines unifying product usage, sales, and finance data via APIs and webhooks.
• Model raw data into clean, documented tables that the company can query confidently.
• Ensure data reliability with tests, freshness checks, lineage, and clear ownership of correctness.
• Collaborate with Eng, Finance, Ops, and GTM on metrics that drive the business.
• Leverage AI to accelerate data tooling while keeping foundations clean.
