Job summary

BluePearl Pet Hospital in Austin, TX is launching a state-of-the-art emergency and critical care hospital. We are building a founding team of experienced Critical Care Veterinary Technicians to drive patient care, develop workflows, and shape hospital culture.

You will triage, monitor, and treat critically ill patients, place advanced catheters, and collaborate with veterinarians and staff to deliver high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Experience in emergency/critical care nursing for veterinary patients.
• Strong technical skills and ability to work in high-acuity settings.
• Mentor teammates and contribute to a learning environment.

Responsibilities

• Triage emergency and critical care patients and obtain histories.
• Assess vital signs and monitor changes in patient condition.
• Place IV catheters and advanced lines (jugular, central, PICC).
• Monitor mechanically ventilated patients and respond to deterioration.
• Calculate and administer medications, including CRIs.
• Assist with emergency procedures and provide advanced nursing care.
