Job summary

USSE, a Delaware corporation building a privacy-centric blockchain platform, seeks a founding CFO to own books, treasury, and strategic financial planning. The role requires leadership across USD, ETH on Ethereum/Base, and USSE tokens, with a focus on on-chain accounting and investor readiness.

You will establish the accounting system, reconcile digital-asset movements, and partner with auditors and engineers to scale finance as the company grows from pre-revenue to its next funding rounds.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in finance leadership (CFO/VP of Finance/Controller).
• Deep knowledge of double-entry accounting and financial statements.
• Experience with digital-asset accounting under US GAAP, including fair-value and network fees.
• Experience owning finance at an early-stage company and interacting with boards.
• Willingness to accept early-stage risk for ownership and equity opportunity.

Responsibilities

• Own the ledger, close, trial balance, balance sheet, and P&L.
• Define and drive the accounting system roadmap with engineers.
• Manage treasury across USD, ETH on two networks, and USSE.
• Set valuation and policy for digital assets before market price.
• Oversee revenue, costs, budgets, runway, and financial storytelling to board.
• Ensure controls, tax compliance, and audit readiness with external accountants.
