Job summary

MOOV is transforming how schools manage attendance and safety with a hardware-software platform. This backend-focused role emphasizes building scalable ingestion paths, device provisioning, and fleet health across thousands of devices in school buildings.

You will own end-to-end backend surfaces, including SIS integration and event pipelines, while occasionally contributing to frontend work. Expect rapid, real-world impact from your first month in a small, ambitious team led by Kevin.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years shipping software professionally, or a shorter track record with unusually strong evidence of finished things in front of real users.
• You’re high agency and can push back with evidence when needed.
• You ship and take accountability, fixing issues promptly and owning outcomes.
• You can operate with minimal guidance in a fast-moving startup environment.

Responsibilities

• Own backend surfaces: SIS integration layer, event pipeline, provisioning and fleet health.
• Front-end work exists, but not the primary focus.
• Ship to production by week two with a real user-facing impact.
• Be able to work on a real MOOV problem in the office and in collaboration with Kevin.
