Silo Markets is building a new kind of brokerage that rewards people for building wealth. We’re an early-stage team seeking a Backend Engineer to own core platform components from brokerage integrations to APIs powering customer experiences.

You’ll move quickly, design and ship end-to-end systems, and collaborate closely with founders. This role is for a hands-on engineer who thrives in ambiguity and ownership.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional software engineering experience, preferably backend.
• Experience building backend services and APIs in Node.js (TypeScript) or Go.
• Solid understanding of relational databases, SQL, and system design.
• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure, API integrations, and deployment workflows.
• Ownership mentality and ability to work across backend components.

Responsibilities

• Product Development: Build and ship features across services, APIs, and tools.
• Backend Engineering: Design reliable, scalable backend services and APIs.
• Financial Systems & Integrations: Work with brokerage APIs and data pipelines.
• Infrastructure & Scalability: Improve architecture, monitoring, deployments, and performance.
• Technical Ownership: Contribute to architectural decisions and engineering practices.
