Job summary

Forgepoint, an a16z-backed startup, is building AI agents to automate the $3 trillion American manufacturing back office. We are hiring a Founding Engineer in New York City to build the digital backbone, ship core AI features, and integrate with legacy ERP systems from 0 to 1.

You'll work directly with the CEO and CTO, visit shop floors across the USA, and own the product lifecycle from concept to deployment in a fast-moving environment.

Qualifications

• 2-8 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Proficiency in full-stack TypeScript (React and Node.js).
• Experience with AI/LLM orchestration tools.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement AI-driven features for manufacturing workflows.
• Architect and scale distributed services while integrating with legacy ERP/CRM systems.
• Collaborate with customers on shop floors across the USA to iterate based on feedback.
