Job summary

Workstream is hiring its first delivery-focused engineer to build AI-native agent systems and integrations. You will work with design customers, embed with live workflows, and own production quality from development to go-live.

You'll drive determinism and safety in agentic services, map real-world processes, and create reusable playbooks, evaluation harnesses, and robust tooling as the team scales.

Qualifications

• Built and operated at least one AI agent or agentic workflow in production.
• Strong engineering judgment across models, orchestration, APIs, data and evaluations.
• Experience working directly with customers or end users.

Responsibilities

• Build and operate production agents and agentic workflows.
• Work forward-deployed with design customers in their workflow using live data.
• Build the evaluation harness with real datasets and thresholds.
• Develop the human-review layer including exception queues and audit tooling.
• Run shadow-mode parallel runs to validate against existing processes.
• Turn customer work into reusable agents and playbooks.
