Job summary

Vincer is seeking a founding AI engineer to own the intelligence layer of a voice-first, life sciences focused AI system. You will be among the first two full-time engineers, shaping agent architectures, evaluation, retrieval, and grounding, with no engineering hierarchy above you.

You’ll work directly with co-founders to define the AI direction, tackle complex multi-agent workflows, and ensure safe, measurable performance across models in a regulated setting.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of full-time software engineering with AI systems experience in production.
• Experience designing agentic, multi-model orchestration and grounding.
• Proven ability to ship robust, scalable AI software in a startup or early-stage environment.

Responsibilities

• Own the intelligence layer: agent architecture, orchestration, evaluation, retrieval, grounding, and guardrails.
• Develop safety and escalation logic for a regulated environment with advisor input.
• Optimize latency and cost through context management, caching, model selection, and routing across model tiers.
• Collaborate with co-founders to define the AI roadmap and future direction.
