W Talent is seeking an Account Manager in New York City to own onboarding, implementation and client training for a growing fintech platform serving capital markets. You will manage a book of institutional clients, starting with hedge funds, and expand into other segments as adoption grows.
You will drive client health, run business reviews to demonstrate ROI, and own renewals and expansions across products.
Location: New York City
Industry: Fintech / Capital Markets / OTC Derivatives / AI
Our client is a Series A fintech building an AI-native platform for capital markets.
Across the OTC derivatives lifecycle, from trade capture and confirmations through reconciliation, lifecycle events and settlement, many workflows still rely heavily on email, PDFs and manual processes.
The platform ingests trade data in any format, standardises it in real time and aligns counterparties at the point of trade, replacing fragmented workflows with intelligent automation and fully digitised, auditable infrastructure.
The company has already built strong traction with sophisticated financial institutions and is now scaling its distribution organisation following its Series A.
This is the company’s first dedicated Account Management hire, taking ownership of the installed client base and acting as the primary commercial point of contact across onboarding, implementation, adoption, renewals and expansion.
This is not a traditional customer success role. You’ll work directly with sophisticated capital-markets clients, Product and Engineering, helping clients realise value from the platform while identifying opportunities to deepen adoption and grow relationships.
This is a foundational commercial role at a company with real institutional traction and a product solving a genuine operational problem across capital markets.
You’ll join at the point where the business is moving from founder-led client management toward a more scalable distribution organisation, giving you the opportunity to shape how it onboards, supports, retains and grows its customer base.
You’ll work directly with the COO/co-founder, Sales, Product and Engineering, with real ownership of client outcomes and meaningful influence over how the account‑management function develops.
For someone who enjoys being close to sophisticated clients, complex technology and product teams, but doesn’t want a pure new‑business sales role, it’s a particularly strong opportunity.
Interested in joining a Series A fintech as its first dedicated Account Manager and helping build the client function from the ground up?
