Job summary

TAR in Austin or San Francisco seeks a Founders Associate to act as an extension of the founders, turning ambiguous, low-structure problems into shipped outcomes while ensuring nothing slows the team.

Drive GW-scale projects with construction, procurement and development teams; stand up new functions from zero; and help hire across the org while shaping company culture.

This is an early-to-mid career generalist role with travel to our West Texas site as needed.

Qualifications

• 1–5 years in startups, consulting, banking, engineering, the military, or a strong tech-adjacent generalist background.
• Ability to thrive in unclear, low-structure environments.
• Proven track record of delivering complex projects end to end.
• Strong organization, judgment and bias for action.
• Clear, direct communication with engineers, executives, suppliers, and outside counterparties.

Responsibilities

• Drive GW-scale project delivery with construction, procurement, and development teams.
• Own special projects from brief to delivery, standing up new functions from zero and handoff.
• Remove blockers, coordinate deployment and infrastructure tests with leadership.
• Support equity and project financing transactions with founders.
• Help hire the team from junior roles to executives and shape culture.
• Troubleshoot daily issues, including supplier replacements and site coordination.
