Job summary

TheOther Founder's Associate role is based in Austin, TX. You will work directly with our CEO, acting as a force multiplier across fundraising, strategy, product and launch initiatives. Compensation: $70,000-$80,000.

You will own projects end to end, move fast with incomplete information, support New York launches, manage partners and vendors, and help recruit and onboard the next wave of the team as TheOther expands into retail channels.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain investor materials: decks, memos, financial models and the data room.
• Own burn rate and use-of-funds models; analyze pricing, margins and channel economics.
• Coordinate New York launch of TheOther Energy across production, logistics, retail accounts and events.
• Support grocery and retail entry including buyer submissions and in-store demo programs.
• Manage partners and vendors: co-packers, agencies, designers and event producers.
• Run special projects and hand off when ready to hire.
• Help recruit and onboard the next wave of the team.
• Keep priorities, deadlines and open loops organized.

We source ceremonial-grade matcha directly from Uji, Japan, and supply some of the most recognizable cafés and wellness concepts in the U.S. and Europe. Role Description The Founder's Associate is a full-time role based in Austin, TX. You will work directly with our CEO as their force multiplier across everything that matters most that week. One day that is the investor data room, the next it is a retail pitch, a production timeline or a launch event in New York. You will own projects end to end, move fast with incomplete information, and see how a consumer brand gets built from the inside.

In this role, the individual will support the founder across operations, marketing, product, and strategic initiatives, acting as a generalist problem-solver and trusted partner. The best Founder's Associates leave this kind of role ready to run a function or start something of their own.

What You’ll Do:

Fundraising and investor relations

• Build and maintain investor materials: decks, memos, financial models and the data room

Strategy and finance

• Own the burn rate and use-of-funds models and keep them current
• Run analysis on pricing, margins, channel economics and new markets
• Turn rough ideas into clear, decision-ready documents

Launch and go-to-market

• Coordinate the New York launch of TheOther Energy across production, logistics, retail accounts and events
• Support grocery and retail entry, including buyer submissions and in-store demo programs
• Manage partners and vendors: co-packers, agencies, designers and event producers
• Run special projects that don't yet have an owner, then hand them off once they deserve a hire
• Help recruit and onboard the next wave of the team
• Keep the company's priorities, deadlines and open loops organized

Compensation: $70,000-80,000

Qualifications

• Operational and project management skills, such as organizing workflows, prioritizing tasks, and ensuring timely execution in a fast-paced environment.
• Business, marketing, or brand development skills, including interest in consumer products, direct-to-consumer brands, and customer experience.
• Writing that is sharp, concise and persuasive
• A track record of owning outcomes, not just tasks
• 3 to 5 years in banking, consulting, venture, a high-growth startup or a CPG brand
• Experience in beverage, food or consumer brands, especially retail or grocery launches
• Exposure to fundraising or investor relations
• Relationships or taste in the worlds we operate in: hospitality, fashion, wellness and culture
