Job summary

Cursor is seeking a founding member of the Startup Events and Community team in San Francisco to act as the growth engine behind Cursor for Startups. You will design events, hackathons, and community moments to drive activation and product usage among Seed–Series B startups, partnering with VCs and accelerators to amplify founder advocacy.

You will own end-to-end programs, combine data-driven iteration with scrappy execution, and travel ~20% to engage founders in-region.

Qualifications

• 4–7+ years in field, community, event, growth, or revenue marketing.
• Experience in B2B SaaS or developer tools is preferred.
• Ability to travel ~20% to host events and engage founders.
• Strong storytelling and founder-native communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Design the startup events playbook and data-driven marketing plan.
• Own the founder funnel and footprint with events, hackathons, and roundtables.
• Build ecosystem relationships with VCs, accelerators, and partners.
• Collaborate with GTM, Product, and Marketing to align on founder needs.
• Advocate for founders by surfacing authentic founder stories.
