Job summary

Hanwha Qcells USA Corp (Qcells USA) in Ankeny, IA seeks a General Superintendent Foundations to lead the foundations team on utility-scale solar projects. You will manage the craft teams, develop CPM schedules, and coordinate with project management to drive on-time, on-budget completion.

This full-time, exempt role requires travel up to 75% and strong leadership, communication, and cost-control capabilities. Reports to the Field Operations Manager with standard site hours and potential overtime.

Qualifications

• 7+ years experience in site supervision.
• Proven track record as a Superintendent on large projects (> $20M, electrical portions).
• Medium Voltage experience.
• Knowledge of building, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing codes as they relate to construction.
• Experience managing subcontracts and subcontractors.
• 2+ years solar PV or wind project experience preferred.
• Ability to travel up to 75%.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead superintendents and craft teams for project duration.
• Develop CPM schedules and schedule of values to aid billing.
• Coordinate activities, procurement, logistics with project manager and field staff.
• Review and approve materials/equipment for systems and monitor installation/startup.
• Prepare progress reports for Project Managers/Directors and Owners.
• Mentor Engineers and coordinate submittals/shop drawings.
• Provide cost estimation and track project costs.
• Travel as required (up to 75%).
• Uphold safety and attendance policies.
