Job summary

Tennessee Technological University is seeking a leader to oversee the Foundations program, developing and evaluating a rigorous curriculum while supervising adjunct faculty and managing facilities and budgets. The role supports instructional programming and student success across undergraduate foundations courses.

The successful candidate will contribute to service, research, and department initiatives within the School of Art, Craft & Design and may teach at the main or satellite campus.

Qualifications

• MFA in art, design or closely related field.
• Active record of exhibitions and professional engagement.
• At least two years college/university teaching beyond the graduate assistant level with evidence of teaching effectiveness.
• Demonstrated ability to teach a range of foundations studio classes and experience teaching with technology and digital media.

Responsibilities

• Lead the foundations program including development, implementation, assessment and continuous improvement of a rigorous foundations curriculum.
• Supervise adjunct faculty and ensure effective delivery of instructional programming.
• Oversee foundations facilities, studios, equipment, technology resources, and operating budgets.
• Contribute service to the department, college, and university through committees and events; support recruitment and student success.
