Northern Kentucky University’s School of the Arts invites applications for a pool of part-time instructors to teach in the Foundations program in Art & Design. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in traditional and contemporary practices and will help developing students’ creative and conceptual abilities in the early stages of their academic journey.

Qualifications

• MFA in Visual Arts or Design or equivalent.
• Active professional creative practice.
• Demonstrated knowledge of drawing techniques.

Responsibilities

• Teach foundational studio courses (ART 130, ART 135, or related) as needed.
• Maintain and align instruction with department outcomes.
• Foster creative and conceptual development in early students.
